Description/Job Summary
The purpose of the Live Haul Driver is to transport chickens from poultry farms to the processing plants by means of a tractor-trailer within required time constraints. Must have two (2) years CDL driving experience. Candidates must have the ability to
work with a diverse work force in a fast and changing environment.
\#1. Make a written pre-trip and post-trip inspection on truck and fill out a DOT Inspection form at the end of first shift.
\#2. Drive to and from farms during the day and night within a driving range of 20 minutes to 3 hours nonstop.
\#3. Make 1 to 4 trips per shift.
\#4. Must cover loads with canvas if temperatures fall below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. At the plant, cooling shed fans must be on if temperature exceeds 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
\#5. Must complete logbooks and tickets in a timely manner.
\#6. Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process safety Management related matters.
Required Skills
Strong reading, writing, math skills.
Required Experience
2 Years 0 Months experience driving tractor-trailers requiring CDL License
Required Education
High School diploma or GED required.
Required Qualifications
Must have a valid CDL License, A class, A License and have met all requirements of Perdue?s Safety Program and Department.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
